3.2 Testing battery and additional functions
The Prüfball has to be switched off. Hold together
both test electrodes.
The continuity test switches on and „000 kΩ“ is
indicated.
Lose contact between the test electrodes. „OL kΩ“
is indicated.
Hereby the continuity test, connecting line and bat-
tery for additional functions of the device are tested.
Note: Please observe section 5 in case the battery
symbol appears or „000 kΩ“ is not indicated when
connecting the electrodes.
Voltage tests are still possible.
4. Testing
4.1 General Instructions
The voltage tester switches on automatically when
a voltage of at least ca. 24 V is applied, or switches
over from continuity to voltage testing.
The instrument switches off automatically approxi-
mately 2 seconds after the last measurement.
Note:
The Prüfball ZAP 350L is equipped with push-
buttons on both handgears.
Voltage is indicated by LEDs and the LCD either with
or without pressing the push-buttons.
Without pressing the push-buttons the instrument
performs high-resistance tests and while pressing
them, low-impedance tests are performed.
In extreme cases, indication of inductive or capa-
citive voltages may occur which disappears when
both push-buttons are pressed.
Attention!
The connecting line may not be bended otherwise it
can be damaged.
Therefore the ZAP has to be stored in an appropriate
bag (see section 10).
