3.6 PID Control Loop
Manual tuning:
By setting the control loop parameters of the PID control loop manually, the temperature con-
troller of the TED4015 can be adapted to the most different thermal loads.
Two different ways are possible to find the optimal parameters. A PID Auto-Tune function can
help to find the optimal parameters easily (see section
).
A manual tuning of the P, I and D parameter can be done with the following steps:
Set the Temperature set point to your required temperature.
Set the Proportional parameter to a very low value (e.g. 0.2) and the Derivative and Integral
parameters to minimum (0) in the PID control loop settings menu. Set the Oscillation Period to
Minimum (0.2 s).
