5 Maintenance and Repair

5.4 Troubleshooting

In case that your TED4015 shows malfunction, please check the following items:

Unit does not work at all (nothing is shown on the display at the front):

Is the TED4015 connected to the mains properly?

Is the TED4015 turned on?

Check the fuses on the rear panel (see section

Replacing the mains fuses

). If blown,

please replace the fuses by the correct type.

Check via SCPI interface if the unit works (see section

Computer Interface

). If you can

connect to the unit properly, please check display settings via remote control (brightness
and contrast).

The display works, but you don't get the desired operation temperature, current or
power:

Are the corresponding hardware limits set correctly? Please refer to section

Setting the

TEC source parameters

Is the TEC setup connected correctly to the

17W2 DSUB jack

at the rear panel?

Is the interlock circuit close? Please refer to section

Connecting Interlock and TEC ON

Monitoring

Please check all cables and the TEC polarity. Please refer to section

Connecting a TEC

Is a temperature sensor been connected properly, and has the sensor type been selected
correctly? Check the corresponding connections and polarities of the temperature sensor
(please refer to chapter

Connecting a temperature sensor

). Check the temperature sensor

settings (please refer to chapter

)

The temperature in constant temperature mode is oscillating.

Please check the PID settings in section

PID control loop settings
