Chapter 8 Maintaining the MPH16-UC
Protect the MPH16-UC from adverse weather conditions. The MPH16-UC is not
water resistant.
The unit does not need regular maintenance. If you suspect a problem with the

WARNING
Do not operate the motorized pinhole wheel with open side panel. No
regular maintenance is necessary.
8.1. Cleaning
Use a damp lint-free cloth to clean the unit.
CAUTION
DO NOT expose the unit to spray, liquids, or solvents. This may damage
the unit.
8.2. Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
Software Installation Failure
Make sure you have administrative rights on
your computer. Otherwise, you cannot
install the software. Ask your system
administrator to give you the rights or to
complete the installation. Refer to the
Software Chapter on page 9
No Pinhole Wheel Recognized
Check if the instrument is connected
to the computer.
Check the USB cable.
Check proper driver installation.
Power cycle the computer and the
MPH16-UC.
Software Freeze or Software Not
Responding Follow all laser safety procedures. Turn off
the laser source. Restart the software.
No Light/Output from the MPH16-
UC Unit Refer to the Alignment Chapter on page
25 .
