F Fuu s see RR a attii n ngg -- Y our recor der is supplied with an approved 3AMP fused mains plug.
When replacing the fuse always use a 3 3 AA M MPP ((BB S S11 3 366 2 2)) approved type. T o obtain a
replacement fuse contact your r etailer. If the mains sockets in your home differ or
are not suitable for the type of plug supplied, then r emove the fuse fr om the plug
for safety, cut the plug fr om the mains lead and refit a suitable type following B Brroo w wnn
- - LL i ivvee , , BB l luu e e -- NN e euu t trraa l l.. You must use a 13 AMP plug (BS1363) and fit a 33 AA M MPP
( (BB S S11 3 366 2 2)) fuse. If any other type of plug is used a 33 AA M MPP ((BB S S11 3 366 2 2)) fuse must be
fitted, either in the plug, adaptor or the distribution board.
I Inn t tee r rffee r ree n nccee -- DD o o n noo t t place your recor der near appliances which may cause
electromagnetic interfer ence (e.g. hi-fi speakers). If you do, it may adver sely affect
the working of the unit, causing the picture or sound to distort.
C Coo v vee r rss - - DD o o nn o ott remove any fixed cover s as this may expose dangerous voltages.
W Wee a atthh e err - - It is advisable to unplug the aerial during a thunder storm. Even if your
recor der and TV are switched off, they can s sttii l lll be damaged by lightning strikes.
V Vee n nttii l laa t tiioo n n - The ventilation holes in the casing of your r ecorder pr event it from
overheating. DD o o nn o ott block or cover these holes - especially with cloth or paper. If
your recor der is to be built into a compartment or similarly enclosed, make sure that
there is a gap of at least 1 0cm on both sides and 20cm at the top and back of the
unit.
D Daa m maa g gee -- NN e evvee r r use your r ecorder if it is damaged in any way . Always place your
recor der on a flat level surface avoiding anywhere which may be subject to str ong
vibration.
B Baa t tttee r riiee s s -- batteries ar e easily swallowed by young children. D Doo nn o ott allow young
children to play with the r emote control unit.
T Tee m mpp e erraa t tuu r ree -- AA v voo i idd extr emes of temperatur e, either hot or cold, place your
recor der well away from heat sour ces such as radiator s or gas/electric fires. D Doo nn o ott
place candles or table lamps on or near your recor der.
M Moo i isstt u urree -- DD o o nn o ott allow your recor der to be exposed to rain, moistur e or dust. D Doo
n noo t t place a plant or flower s which may need watering on your recor der. If any liquid
is spilt into your recor der it can cause serious damage. If you spill any
