8.3.3 Sterilization containers
INFORMATION
Type testing of the VARIOKLAV Type 65 TC benchtop sterilizer
was performed using AESCULAP and WAGNER sterilization
containers. We recommend using either AESCULAP or
WAGNER sterilization containers to ensure that the same
sterilization conditions prevail as during type testing.
INFORMATION
For information on using the respective sterilization containers
(filter changes etc.) and on storage times please consult the
manufacturer’s instructions (AESCULAP, WAGNER).
The sterilization containers meet the requirements of the EN 868-8 standard as per
August 1999 and are suitable for accommodating items during vacuum steam
sterilization. The seal between the lid and the bottom has microbial barrier
properties, ensuring that sterility is maintained for as long as the items are
transported and stored under appropriate hospital conditions.
