Chapter 4 - Troubleshooting

Instrument Not Responding

Error Message / Symptom

Possible Cause

Remedy

Instrument not responding

Software error.



Check connections.



Switch off PrintMate AS, wait 5
seconds then switch back on.



Wait until the Touch Panel
Display says PrintMate AS
Ready before resuming
operation.



Close down the LabWriter
Application and restart it.



Switch off PrintMate AS.



Close down the LabWriter
Application.



Reboot the PC.



Restart the LabWriter
Application and PrintMate AS.



Check that the COM Port
Settings for LabWriter are
correct.



Check that the Baud Rate
settings for LabWriter are
correct:



PrintMate 19200



PrintMate AS 57600
