5) Press <F1: Edit> to enter the Edit Mode, and move the cursor to
the “Act” (actual) column in the row labelled “Pres.”
6) Enter the current ambient pressure (Atmospheres) and press
<ENTER> to leave the Edit Mode. Check that the pressure shown
in the “Calc” column now matches the current temperature within
± 0.02 atm.
7) Upon receiving the actual pressure, the system’s microprocessor
automatically computes “Span” for the ambient pressure. Note
this number for future reference.
NOTE: If the instrument has been reset and you have recorded the value of
“Span” for the ambient pressure, you may enter it directly in the “Span” column
when in the Edit Mode.
8) Go to Section 3.2.5.

ALIBRATION
The temperature and pressure calibrations described above
must
be performed before
the mass flow controller calibration is undertaken. In addition, the leak check
discussed in Section 3.1.5 must also be undertaken before the following instructions
are executed.
Tools Needed:
Flow measuring device such as the
Streamline FTS (R&P P/N 57-004506-0001)
Materials:
Flow audit adapter (if required) (R&P P/N 57-000618)
New 47mm filter
Follow these steps to calibrate the mass flow controller:
1) If the Main screen is not currently displayed, press <Esc> until the
screen is shown (Figure 3-12).
2) The device must be in the Stop Operating Mode to perform an
analog input calibration. If the hardware is currently in the Run
Operating Mode, press <F4: Run/Stp> to enter the Stop Operating
Mode. The current operating mode is displayed in the upper
right-hand corner of the Main screen.
3) Remove the size-selective inlet from the hub.
4) Install a filter cassette containing a new 47 mm filter into the filter
holder of the hub unit. This filter will be thrown away at the end
of this flow calibration.
