User Manual - Haas Mini Mill

Load / Unload a Milling Head in the PM

On the Simatic mobile panel, select

SETTING 2/8 : Tool management

Figure 2.15

To configure the tools, log in SERVICE and enter the rights parameters, then press

SAVE

(only visible in

SERVICE mode).

Removing or inserting a tool:

It is only possible to remove or insert tools while in Hand Jog or MDI mode.

Select the Hand Jog mode by pressing

HAND JOG

. The black

Tool Unclamp

button on top of the

spindle will become active

♦

If required, move the Z axis up to make room for the tool

♦

Open the Operator Door

♦

Grab the inserted tool if present

♦

Press the black

Tool Unclamp

button on the Z axis. This will release the inserted tool, so be sure to

support it.

♦

Remove the tool

♦

Insert the new tool in the socket and align it with the spindle fingers.

♦

Press the

Tool Unclamp

button to secure the tool in the socket.
