3. Ensure that the fuses match the size appropriate for the line power in your location

If the incorrect fuses are installed, replace them with the correct fuses located in the
accessory kit.
4. Push the fuse holder back into the back panel of the detector until you hear a clicking
sound.
Loosening the Transport Screws
To prevent damage that might occur during shipment, the optical block of the Accela RI
Detector is held in place by two transport screws (5 mm bolts) located underneath the
detector along the right side. To use the detector, loosen the transport screws with a 5 mm
hexagonal wrench, provided in the accessory kit.

To loosen the transport screws
1. Place the Accela RI Detector on the laboratory benchtop.
2. Locate the 5 mm hexagonal wrench provided in the accessory kit and place it near the
detector.
3. Turn the detector so that the right side is aligned with the laboratory benchtop.
4. Move the detector so that the right side extends beyond the benchtop by 5 in.

CAUTION
Do not place the detector on its side to access the transport screws. Doing
so can damage the optical system.
