Orion Star Series Meter

Key Feature Overview

ISE Calibration Alarm Setting: 

 This selects the time in hours after a calibration 

before the meter will remind you that the ISE needs to be recalibrated.  It will 
provide this warning by lighting the Caution icon and flashing the Probe icon.  In 
addition, the units icon for ISE will flash about once every 5 seconds.  A setting of 
0000, turns off the calibration alarm.

Cond Calibration Alarm Setting:

  This selects the time in hours after a 

calibration before the meter will remind you that the Conductivity needs to be 
recalibrated.  It will provide this warning by lighting the Caution icon and flashing 
the Probe icon.  In addition, the µS/cm, mS/cm, mg/L, ppt, or MW-cm icon will flash 
about once every 5 seconds.  A setting of 0000, turns off the calibration alarm.

DO Calibration Alarm Setting:

  This selects the time in hours after a calibration 

before the meter will remind you that the DO needs to be recalibrated.  It will 
provide this warning by lighting the Caution icon and flashing the Probe icon.  In 
addition, the %Sat or mg/L icon will flash about once every 5 seconds.  A setting of 
0000, turns off the calibration alarm.

How to Change the Cal Alarm Setup Options

To access the Cal Alarm Setup Menu:

•  From the Measurement Screen press the SETUP key.

 

a.   If methods have been turned on then the Method selection screen will 

appear when setup is pressed.  Press the UP & DOWN arrows to select the 
Method to be used or edited.  Press the SETUP or RIGHT arrow key to edit 
the selected method.

 

b.   If a password has been setup, then the password entry screen will appear 

and a password will need to be entered to enter setup and edit the method.  
Press the UP & DOWN arrow keys to change the value of the flashing digit.  
Press the DECIMAL/DIGIT key to change the digit to be scrolled.  Press the 
RIGHT Arrow key to move to enter setup.  Press the MEASURE key to exit to 
measurement mode.

•  Press the UP & DOWN arrow to scroll through the Setup Menu’s until dUE is 

displayed on the Top line.

•  Press the RIGHT ARROW key to select the Cal Alrm setup option line (Middle 

Line).  Press the MEASURE key to return to measurement mode.
