The charging station may not be positioned on an incline that is greater than 5°.
Once you have found the correct positioning, and the charging station is setup, do NOT
connect power yet. First, the boundary cable must be laid out and connected to the
charging station. Power can then be connected to the charging station.
Laying out the charging station
The boundary cable must now be laid out. First, find the package with the cable (part 19)
and find the loose end.
Now find the plastic pegs (part 15). Find the accompanying ruler (part 17), which must also
be used.
You will also need a hammer, a pair of clamp pliers, and a pair of cutting pliers/scissors to
cut the lead with (not supplied).
NB: The grass may not be higher than 60 mm before the work begins. If it is higher than
this, then it must be mowed first using a traditional lawnmower.
Start laying the cable at the charging station. Pull out 1 m of cable so you have plenty of
cable to work with when connecting it to the power connectors on the charging station.
Lay the boundary cable on the lawn, and secure loosely using the plastic pegs (burying the
cable under the ground is not necessary. Before long the lawn will grow around the cable
and it will not visible).
REMEMBER:
Keep a 30 cm distance between the boundary cable and obstacles. Use the
accompanying ruler (part 17).
The closer the cable is to the ground, the less risk of anyone tripping over it or of it
becoming cut by the robot. The power voltage in the boundary cable is only 32 V and
therefore, it is not hazardous to people or animals.
You can now loosely lay out the cable around the garden in accordance with your sketch.
Lay the cable loosely, because it will then be easier to correct the cable as you progress.
Set the plastic pegs about 50-80 cm apart, dependent on it is a straight section or whether
it is a corner or a curve.
