Appendix C. MATLAB Compiler Runtime Troubleshooting
If an error message appears when launching the Smart Amp software:
1. Ensure MATLAB Compiler Runtime (MCR) is installed as described in Section
2. Close PurePath™ Console 3.
3. If the MCR is already installed, browse to
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\[user]\
using Windows Explorer and delete
mcrCache7.16
. The
AppData
folder may require un-
hiding files in the Windows system settings.
4. Open PurePath™ Console 3, load the Smart Amp App.
5. If issues persist, refer to Chapter
for support contact information.
Some antivirus software may prevent the MCR installation from setting Windows environment
variables. If this is the case:
1. Go to the Windows
Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings
2. Click
Advanced > Environment Variables
.
3. Under
System variables
, click the Path variable and click
Edit
.
4. Add a semicolon “
;
” after the last value and paste
“
C:\Program Files (x86)\MATLAB\MATLAB Compiler Runtime\v716\runtime\win32
”
after the semicolon as shown below.
