To Load and Play a DVD or other Discs
NOTE
: We call any DVD or AUDIO CD a "disc" in this booklet.
When the set is in standby mode (the STANDBY indicator is on) press the
ON/STANDBY button on the main unit or on the remote control
to turn the set on. The STANDBY indicator will turn off.

After play, press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the tray and take the disc out of the tray.
Remember to store the disc in its case to prevent damaging the disc.

Press the ON/STANDBY button to return the main unit to STANDBY mode, the STANDBY indicator
on the main unit will light up.
will not be used for a long time (several days), you should unplug
the power cord from the AC socket.
NOTE:
When the player is stopped, the display will show "PRESS PLAY TO CONTINUE
", the
player records the point where the STOP button was pressed (RESUME function). Press
the PLAY/PAUSE button again, playback will resume from this point. If the tray is opened
or
the STOP button is pressed a second time, the resume function will be cleared and the
set is fully stopped.

Press the VOLUME UP or DOWN button on the main set or VOLUME
or
button on the
REMOTE to adjust the volume level.
Basic Playback 1
NOTE:
The disc door can only open in DVD mode when the
DVD indicator is on.
NOTE:

Press the STOP button to stop playing.

Press the SOURCE button on the front of the DVD HOME
SYSTEM or on the REMOTE to select DVD, the
DVD icon will illuminate

Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the front of the DVD
SYSTEM or on the REMOTE, wait a few
seconds and the disc tray will open.

Place a disc gently into the tray with the disc's label facing up
(double-sided discs have contents on both sides, so you can
place the disc either side up). Note: Some discs may also have
the movie one side while director's cuts and special scenes
are on the other side.

Press the OPEN/CLOSE or PLAY button, the disc tray will close. The DVD player reads the
disc's table of contents (this may take a few seconds) with a loading icon " " showing on
the left corner of the screen, and then one of three things happens depending how the disc was
programmed:
•
The disc starts playing automatically.
•
The disc menu appears on the screen. One of the options will be "Start Disc Play".
or simply "PLAY
"
. Highlight that option and press the ENTER button or the PLAY/PAUSE
button.
•
The DVD Player's main menu appears on the screen. Highlight the Play option and
press the ENTER button.

You must set your TV to the Video mode. Please see Page 23.

This set has a screen saver which will display a bouncing DVD oval if no video input is played for
a while.
