USB Mode
Your Impaq 8000 can read USB memory sticks and
USB hard-drives with the USB 1.0 to 3.0 specifica-
tions and play back the photos, music files and videos
saved on them. It is also possible to directly connect
various camcorders and play back AVCHD movies
saved on them.
You can find the data formats that can be played back
in the table on page 34.
Handling mobile storage devices
USB sticks are sensitive electronic devices and must
be handled accordingly. When not using your storage
device, you should be absolutely sure to close it with a
protective case or cap.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!

Do not use any storage devices with me-
chanical damage or which have fallen in
liquid.

Do not expose the storage devices to
direct sunlight.
Improper handling may result in data loss!

If possible, make backup copies of your
data.
Connecting and playing back a USB
device
Insert the USB stick or the plug of your USB device in
one of the USB ports

If multiple USB storage devices are connected or
if there are multiple partitions on a USB storage
device, they are numbered.
Shortly afterwards, the file selection (see page 41)
with the items Image, Music, Video and AVCHD will
appear.
The playback functions for disc, USB and DLNA are
identical and are described in the section “Playback
functions” on page 38.
Removing the USB device
NOTICE

Never remove the USB device while the
Impaq 8000 is still accessing it!
1. Access the main menu by pushing the
