   BD/DVD/ CD  mode

 Suitable  BDs/DVDs/CDs

• Only use commercially-available BDs/DVDs/CDs 

carrying one of the adjacent symbols.

• Normal BDs/DVDs/CDs with a diameter of 80 and 

120 mm can be used.

• You can find the data formats that can be played in 

the adjacent table.

• The device plays DVDs with the   country code “2”.

• Discs burnt on a home system can normally be read 

but an excessively high burn speed or defective 
blank discs can cause problems.

• Discs produced for commercial purposes cannot 

always be read.

Handling CDs

Every disc is encased in a durable plastic layer to pro-
tect it against outside influences. However, you must 
always protect the discs against dirt and scratches. 

Your Impaq 8000 can compensate smaller damages 
on the disc. Larger scratches or other damages can 
cause the disc to catch or lead to similar errors. Also 
observe the notes on proper handling of discs on the 
disc sleeve!
