• Flip the bottom edge of the sleeve
under so that the gel is in contact
with the socket. Roll the sleeve
up toward the proximal end of the
socket (fig.11).

contact with the socket and with the
reflected portion of the liner.
Trimming
It is not likely that a sleeve will have to
be cut to a shorter length. If trimming is
required, however, use shears, a paper
cutter, a rotary cutter (WW.700-TL002)
in combination with a straight edge or
pinking shears. Pinking shears will help
distribute the stress to the soft tissue
at the proximal end of the sleeve to a
larger area.
Make sure not to shorten the gel sleeve
too much. The remaining distal and
proximal gel areas always have to be
large enough to create a reliable seal.
Cutting the gel sleeve too short and
thus impairing its functionality is not
covered under warranty.
