PE test terminal

PE terminal test procedure

Connect

test cable to the instrument.

Connect

test leads to the to the item to be tested (see

figures 5.33

and

5.34

).

Touch PE test probe (the

TEST

key) for at least one second.

If PE terminal is connected to phase voltage the warning message is displayed,
instrument buzzer is activated, and further measurements are disabled in Z-
LOOP and RCD functions.

Warning:

If dangerous voltage is detected on the tested PE terminal, immediately stop all
measurements, find and remove the fault!

Notes:

In the SETTINGS and VOLTAGE TRMS menus the PE terminal is not tested.

PE test terminal does not operate in case the operator’s body is completely
insulated from floor or walls!
