3.1 SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS

It’s very important that the safety instructions are always followed

and obeyed. Failure to do so could cause injury to persons and/or

damage to the machine.

The air extractor must be installed and serviced regularly by

qualified and authorized personnel only, since they are able to

carry out the operations necessary for the purpose and since

they are aware of safety regulations in force in the country of

installation.

3.2 PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT (PPE)

To avoid exposure to risk the personnel that operates the

machine during the life cycle phases of the machine such as

installation, lifting and transport, maintenance, are required to use

the following personal protective equipment:

SAFETY

PROTECTIVE

HELMETS

CLOTHING

PROTECTIVE

GLOVES

GOGGLES

ANTI-FALL

EQUIPMENT

3.3 SAFETY NETS

The air extractor is equipped with a 6-blade propeller that, when

in operation, moves with a rotary movement. The driving force is

supplied by the electric motor by means of pulleys and drive belt.

To ensure a sufficient degree of protection against accidental contact

with moving machine parts, metal safety nets have been provided.

WARNING

Given the presence of risks arising from moving parts and the

air processed by the extractors, the user is obliged to protect

the fan evacuation area through the enclosure preventing

access to unauthorized persons. Signal the forbidden area with

appropriate warning signs.
It is still possible to buy a separate net for protective use of

each fan (SK option).
If installing at a height above ground of more than 2.7 meters, it

is not necessary to provide any additional protection.

WARNING

It is strictly forbidden to remove and/or tamper with safety nets!
Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply mains before

removing the guard!

WARNING

Safety nets are a safety device. In the event of damage to the

nets, proceed with a rapid replacement only with original spare

parts because only these are able to guarantee the level of

security required by the guidelines and technical standards.

WARNING

Before putting the fan into operation, it is required to verify the

presence and correct positioning of the safety nets provided.

In the rear part of the extractor (air inlet side) a double metal

safety net is positioned (pos.19) that prevents direct contact with

the 6-blade propeller.

The double net is hinged on the external sides and, when closed,

is locked with the appropriate fasteners (pos.31) shown in the part

of the Manual dedicated to the installation of the machine.

AIR INLET SIDE

At the front of the extractor (air outlet side), the metal safety

net can be placed (pos.20), SK option. The installation of the rear

safety net is required when the extractor is placed at a height

from ground lower than 2.7 meters and/or where there access is

possible for unauthorized and unqualified persons.

The SK metal net, as well as preventing direct contact with the

6-blade propeller, prevents contact with the blades of the shutter

and with the open/close lever mechanisms of the blades.
