Working on the battery
» No open fire and no smoking.
» Avoid acid from coming into contact with clothing or skin.
In the event of acid injuries, rinse well with clean water
and contact a doctor.
» Never place any tools on the battery.
» When recharging the battery, remove the caps to avoid a build-up of explosive gases.
» Treat old batteries in accordance with legal stipulations.
Working on the fuel system
» No open fire and no smoking.
» Avoid spilling fuel. Catch spilt fuel and prevent it from seeping into the ground.
Cleaning
» Never carry out any cleaning activities while the engine is running.
» Never use petrol or other highly flammable substances for cleaning.
» Do not expose the electrical parts to steam jets when using a steam cleaner. Prevent steam
or water from entering the exhaust.
After maintenance
» Replace all protective mantles and other dismantled components.
Repairs
» Repairs may only be carried out by qualified and authorized persons (see section 1.2).
Always consult the maintenance manual before carrying out any repairs.
» If the vehicle is defective, place a warning on the steering wheel and remove the key from
the ignition.

Safety regulations for transport
Loading the vehicle for transportation
» Only loading platforms that are able to support the load and are sufficiently stable may be
used. The ramp gradient must be less than the maximum climbing capability of the vehicle
(15%).
» Prevent the vehicle from overturning or sliding off during loading.
» Protect the vehicle from rolling off, shifting or overturning on a transport vehicle.
Towing the vehicle
See Chapter 8.
Not observing the regulations above is considered as gross negligence. Tennant
N.V. cannot be held liable for any damage if you do not observe the safety
regulations and measures mentioned above.
