1.5. OLT Turnup
Once the OLT has been powered up, and all cards installed, the Turnup routine must be
run to initialize the OLT IP address, management VLAN, and Uplink port configuration
so that it will be in a state that it can be added to the Panorama PON EMS.
Turning up the OLT
Once connectivity has been established, the user will have access to the OLT CLI. The
CLI is used to perform the initial configuration (or turnup) of the OLT. After turnup, the
OLT can be added to and managed by the Panorama PON graphical user interface. To
turnup the OLT, perform the following steps:

Wait for the system ready message to display and then press
Enter

Log into the OLT CLI. The initial username and password for the system is:
admin/tellabs
login as: _
Connect from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
password for (admin): _

On initial login, the administrative password must be changed. The system will
prompt for the current password in order to allow the change. Type
tellabs
at
the prompt and press
Enter
.
Password expired, you must change your password to continue.
