3. Remove the blank faceplate from the slot labeled ESU A.
4. Unpack and inspect the ESU card for any apparent damage. If there is apparent
damage then use the
section to contact Tellabs support for
replacement.
5. Carefully insert the card into the card guides until the card contacts the
backplane connector. Then apply equal pressure on both upper and lower
ejectors to seat the card.
6. Upon insertion, the STAT LED illuminates RED while performing internal power
up diagnostics. Upon successful completion of the power up diagnostics, the
STAT LED blinks GREEN for 2.5 minutes at 0.5 second intervals while
initializing. LED Illumination is shown below:

7. Insert the appropriate Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) module(s) or XFP
laser modules.
8. Install all uplink cabling into the ESU.
9. Route the fiber cabling through the cable management clip on the right of the
shelf.
