• Do not use the safety feet in water or on
extremely dirty or wet surfaces, as dirt may
enter into flexible joints and impair function.
• Do not use the safety feet on very uneven and
jagged surfaces, blasted rock or similar, as this
can cause excess wear on rubber details and
feet.
• Always retract the safety feet fully during
transport, as this will protect the extension
tubes inside the ladder’s telescopic tubing and
reduces the risk of transport damage.
Also see the instructions for the ladder you are
using.
Care and maintenance
The adjustable safety feet are precision tools. Treat
them with care and they will retain their unique
properties.
Always keep the safety feet clean, especially the
extension tubes and flexible joints.
Any repair work must always be carried out by
an authorised service workshop. Don’t use a safety
foot if it needs to be repaired. Contact your dealer.
Before use, check that
• the extension tubes are not bent, bowed,
twisted, dented, cracked or corroded
• fixings (usually rivets, screws or bolts) are not
missing, loose or corroded
• plastic and rubber parts are not missing, loose,
excessively worn, corroded or damaged
• the safety feet are clean (no dirt, mud, paint, oil
or grease)
• locking catches are not damaged or corroded
and function correctly.
CAUTION! Never use the adjustable safety
feet if you detect any of the faults above.

The following are not concidered as faults:
• normal wear and tear
• parts subjected to fair wear and tear.
Complaints
Proof of purchase must be presented for any
guarantee claims. If the purchaser wishes to make

The adjustable safety feet
give the telescope
ladder a secure grip on the surface it is standing
on and means you can stand it on uneven surfaces
or surfaces with small differences in height. One
safety foot is variably adjustable between 0 and
22 cm. Both adjustable feet must not be extended
at the same time when in use. One of the safety
feet must always be retracted.
In order to retain the characteristics and
function of the safety feet, they must be used,
managed and maintained as described in the
instructions.
A
Assembly
The adjustable feet are suitable for 3.2 (70232) and
3.8 metre (70238) leaning telescopic ladders. They
are fitted to the 3.2 m ladder without adapter and
to the 3.8 m ladder with adapter.
NB! Always fit both safety feet to the
telescopic ladder.
Assemble the adjustable safety feet as follows:
1. Remove the telescopic ladder’s rubber feet.
2. For fitting to a 3.8 metre telescopic ladder, first
assemble the adapter: Put the adapter over the
safety foot’s fastening and position the notches
over the two screw holes. Press down the
adapter.
3. Pull up the fastening to its top position.
NB! If
you push the safety foot into the telescopic
ladder without pulling up the fastening, the
ladder locking mechanism inside the tubing
can be damaged.
4. Push in the safety foot’s fastening into the
telescope tubing with the latch towards the
inside. Make sure the edge of the fastening is
resting against the tubing.
5. Each safety foot is fastened with two self-
tapping screws. You must make the holes
if there are none for the safety foot on your
ladder. Use the drilling template and mark the
position of the holes on the telescopic tubes.
6. Drill the two 5 mm holes through the tubing.
7. Screw on each safety foot with two self-tapping
screws.
B
Height adjustment
The height of one safety foot can be adjusted
so that the telescopic ladder stands firmly on an
uneven surface. Adjust the height on only one of
the safety feet. The second safety foot must always
be fully retracted.
Raise and lower the safety foot as follows:
8. Hold the telescopic ladder upright.
9.
Raise:
Hold down the safety foot with your foot
and extend it to the desired height by pulling
the ladder upwards. The safety foot will lock
automatically.
10.
Lower:
Press down the latch with your foot,
hold up the telescopic ladder so all its weight
is not resting on the safety feet and carefully
lower.
WARNING! Both safety feet must not be
extended at the same time as this will make
the telescopic ladder unstable. One of the
safety feet must always be fully retracted.
C
Cleaning
For reasons of safety and functionality, the safety
feet must always be kept clean, particularly the
extension tubes and flexible joints. Dirt, filings,
paint spots, glue etc. must be wiped away after
each use before you lower the safety foot. The
safety feet must always be kept dry so that dust
does not cling to them.
Use
For reasons of safety ladders must always be
used sensibly. We would also like to point out the
following regarding the use of the adjustable
safety feet:
• When using the ladder with the safety feet
fitted, it must have an angle of inclination of 75º
in relation to the ground.
• Both adjustable feet must not be extended at
the same time when in use. One of the safety
feet must always be retracted.
• The ladder must stand steadily on the floor or
ground with an even load on both safety feet.
The ladder must not lean sideways or not have
any load on one foot.
• The maximum load for the ladder/safety feet is
150 kg.
• Do not use the safety feet for dirty work or
in dirty environments. If the safety feet are
used, for example, when bricklaying, concrete
work or painting, over time they may become
difficult to clean, impairing their function.
