Each terminal socket is equipped with two LEDs for displaying the line
status. Each of the line connectors labelled “to DTE” and “to DCE” are
assigned two LEDs. These display the line status as shown in the following
table.

on on While booting: Reset of the interface
off off After booting: Port not in operation

with S1 alternating
with S0 Port initialized. No adapter cable connected (operational
state)
on off Port initialized. Adapter cable connected (operational
state)
on on Port initialized. Data traffic is possible (operational state):
Case 1:
– with V.35 or V.24 cable to DTE
– receiver ready
– line status Data Terminal Ready has been reached
Case 2:
– with V.35 or V.24 cable to DCE
– and receiver ready
– line status Data Set Ready has been reached

– with X.21 cable to DTE
