371B Service Manual

. The characteristics examined in this procedure are examples of typical

instrument operation; they are not specifications.

Equipment Setup.

Set up the equipment as shown in the following illustration and

set controls as described.

371B Settings:

Examining STORE.

1. CHECK that the STORE LED is lit.

2. EXAMINE the CRT for a continuous increase in spot brightness when the

NON STORE/STORE/VIEW INTENSITY control is turned from full
counterclockwise to full clockwise.

Examining VIEW.

3. Press the ENTER button to store the displayed trace (spot) in memory

location 1.

4. EXAMINE the display for ENTER COMPLETE message.

5. Change the following 371B setting:

6. CHECK that the VIEW LED is lit.

7. EXAMINE the CRT for continuous increase in brightness of the viewed

trace (spot) as the NON STORE/STORE/VIEW INTENSITY control is
turned from full counterclockwise to full clockwise.
