11.1 Information
This insert supplements and supersedes the information in the pre-
vious operating instructions BD914_d. It applies to explosion-proof
equipment with the following classification: EN 60079-0:2012/
EN 60079-1:2007 (Ex d).

The normal installation instructions in the operating instructions ap-
ply. No special settings are required.
Special conditions for safe use
The lengths of the flameproof joints are in parts longer and the gaps
of the flameproof joints are in parts smaller than the values of table
2 of EN 60079-1:2007. For information of the dimensions of the
flameproof joints contact the manufacturer.
Only screws of stainless steel with a minimum quality of A2-70 or
A4-70 have to be used for the closing of the flameproof enclosure.
The load pins (force transducers) are designed for use at an
ambient temperature range of -40°C up to 85°C at maximum.
11.2 Fault remedying
Devices that are operated in potentially explosive areas must not be
modified. The devices may only be repaired by specially trained and
authorised experts. Defective devices should be returned to the
manufacturer.
11.3 Electrical parameters
Ub+: 9 to 30V
Imax: 130mA
If a redundant design of the load pin is used, separate cable leads are
provided. Connecting via a single cable with the requirements of IEC
