the person or persons responsible for installing, operating, regulating, performing maintenance, cleaning, repairing, or transporting

MAN-MACHINE INTERACTION
:
any situation in which an operator must interact with the machine in any operating phase and any moment of its
life
OPERATOR QUALIFICATION
:
minimum level of skills that the operator must have to perform the operation described
NUMBER OF OPERATORS
:
minimum number of operators needed for performing the operation described and deriving from an attentive analysis
performed by the manufacturer. The use of a different number of persons could jeopardise the expected result or put the individuals involved
in danger.
RESIDUAL RISK:
risk that has not been possible to eliminate or sufficiently reduce through design, against which the protections are not (or are
not totally) effective; the manual gives information regarding it and instructions and warnings to overcome it (see, respectively, 5.4 and 6.5.1 of
European standards EN 12100: 2010).
SAFETY COMPONENT
: it is a component used to ensure safe operation and whose failure or poor operation jeopardizes the safety and/or the
health of the exposed individuals (e.g., lifting equipment; fixed, mobile and adjustable guards, electric, electronic, optical, pneumatic and
hydraulic devices that interlocks a protector, etc.).

OPERATOR
:
individual capable of running the machine using the commands on the push button panel, load and
unload the materials used during work and simple start-up or recovery functions following forced stops. This
individual must have full knowledge of the instructions in the machine use and maintenance manual.
LIFTING AND HANDLING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
: operator qualified to use equipment for lifting and handling
materials and machines (closely following the manufacturer's instructions) according to current laws in the
country where the machine is used.
MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
:
qualified technician capable of running the machine in normal conditions,
operating on mechanical parts to perform all adjustments, maintenance interventions, and repairs as necessary.
Not qualified for interventions on the electrical system with voltage. Possesses any machinery keys used to disable
the safety devices. This individual must have full knowledge of the instructions in the machine use and
maintenance manual.
