2.6. Atheros AR8035 Gigabit LAN 

 
The EDM1-IMX6 connects the i.MX6 processor RGMII interface to the Atheros AR8035 gigabit Ethernet 
chip. 
 
The AR8035 supports IEEE 802.3az EEE standard (Energy Efficient Ethernet) and Atheros proprietary 
SmartEEE. SmartEEE allows legacy MAC/SoC devices without 802.3az support to function as a complete 
802.3az system.
