User manual:
Everyone who may be exposed to traffic in potentially hazardous situations at work or
in their leisure time should wear high visibility clothing. High visibility clothing is
likewise important in areas of use where the wearer being clearly recognisable could
reduce the risk of an accident. This includes motorways, urban and rural roads,
railway tracks, airports and harbours. This high visibility clothing is highly visible
during the day due to its fluorescent outer layer and at night with its retroreflec-
tive stripes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is designed and manufactured so
that the user can carry out the activity unhindered by the risks associated with it in
accordance with the usage instructions in
a manner which is foreseen and as intended and the user has sufficient protection.
Despite the listed usage information the wearer is always ultimately responsible for
their own safety.
When making a purchase decision without carrying out a comprehensive and effective
risk assessment, the product-specific levels of protection for the users of this
protective clothing may not be sufficient for the potential hazards likely to be
encountered in the workplace.

Warning:
Protective clothing must be used in accordance with the intended use and must not
be exposed to anything which could impair its safe condition. Dirty clothing can lead
to a reduction in protection. Clothing must always be worn as a two-piece outfit
comprising of dungarees or work trousers with a jacket. If both the jacket and the
dungarees or work trousers fulfil EN ISO 20471 this will provide the most visibility.
The jacket must be done up. Each additional item of protective clothing must confirm
to the same safety standard. Check the clothing is not damaged before wearing it. It
should be possible for the wearer to put on and take off other items of PPE, such as
gloves and boots, without difficulty.
Hood 4290 001, 4270 001
In accordance with the risk analysis, the hood
must be put on and closed, detached or
tucked into the collar before entering
hazardous areas.
In the event of inadvertent contact with liquid chemicals or combustible liquids the
wearer must withdraw from the situation without delay and remove the clothing so
that these substances do not come into contact with the skin. The protective clothing
must be cleaned before it is reused. In the event of accidental contact with splashes
of molten metal the risk of burns should not be excluded if clothing is worn directly
next to the skin. The wearer must the withdraw from the situation without delay and
remove the clothing.
