6.
While maintaining firm pressure on the buffer
,
move the fiber slide forward until it stops.
7. Close the fiber clamp.
8. Slide the carriage forward (in the
direction shown).
9. Lift the fiber clamp.
Do
NOT
touch the button while sliding the carriage.
11. Remove the fiber, which is now cleaved
to the proper length.
12. Remove and properly dispose of the
scrap fiber.
10. Move the fiber slide back.

1. Place the cleaver onto a flat surface.
