Avoid contact with the liquid being dispensed from the spout.
Default settings upon purchasing the machine:

We recommend that you always rinse the milk system
immediately
after preparing
beverages with milk. See section “Rinsing the milk
system”.
Tip
: You can control the strength of the beverage by adjusting the amount
of milk froth or the amount of beverage. Learn more about how to
do this in the chapter titled “Adjusting the amount of the beverage”.
Frothing milk
1. Push the coffee/milk spout
upwards as far as it will go
and remove the drip tray.
2. Place a tall glass underneath
the coffee/milk spout.
3. Press the
Froth
button briefly
once.
The
Froth
button lights up
and the heating up process
for the milk frothing starts.
The frothing process starts
and stops automatically.
A beep sounds at the start and
end of the frothing process.
Cancelling the heating up process

again during the heating up
process.
Stopping the frothing process early
