• Maintenance instructions must be followed.
• The service record must be accessible for inspection.
• Use only original TAWI parts.
• The jib arm includes a safety valve. The valve automatically closes if the power fails and the load
sinks to the floor in a controlled manner. Let go of the handle and move away from the lifter.
• Be aware not tripping on the forks when working with the lifter.
• If unit is elevated with truck/pallet jack during pump is running, the pump will be turned off. As
soon as stabiliser legs are put back onto firm ground the pump will restart.
• The max lifting capacity, safe working load (SWL), must not be exceeded.
• Use vacuum power only to handle the load. Do not lift the load by hand.
• A load must never be left hanging in top position.
• Never switch the pump off while having a load hanging in the lift.
Charge battery
The lifter can get power both from the
integrated battery and through an external DC
power source. If an external DC power source is
applied, verify that it is compatible with the
electrical requirements of the lifter, See
battery
charging procedure on page 13.
The lifter´s battery must be charged with the
battery pack attached to the service
compartment of the lifter. The lifter can also be
operated while the battery is being charged, the
battery life will be improved, however, the
battery will eventually discharge. The battery
can not be overcharged or charged too often. It
is recommended to charge the battery as soon
as it is not in use.
