FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

download EAST, North, South or Central map of India. 
This is just to avoid huge data download and memory 
consumption in your smartphone. if you download 
either of the maps, you might need approximately 
300MB (250MB for Map and 50MB for NaviMaps App). 
Total India map might be around 1.3GB. However this 
also depends on region of the map you have 
downloaded and version. It is to be noted that 
memory requirement changes as upgrades.

6. Will navigation in my TATA vehicle work with any 

navigation App?

No. It will work only with NaviMaps App. Please check 
and install for the latest version available from the 
Play Store on your Android based smartphone.

7. Do I have to pay for App and Map database 

upgrades?

At first time when NaviMaps app is installed, please 
Connect your smartphone with your TATA vehicle. 
After this you can install latest versions of the map for 
free. You are entitled for a maximum of 4 free 
upgrades in a span of 4 years from the date of 
purchase of your vehicle. 

8. How frequently Map upgrades are released? And 

How it is informed to me?

After you connect your smartphone to your TATA 
vehicle for TBT Navigation function, you are entitled 
for a maximum of 4 upgrades in a span of 4 years from 
the date of purchase of your vehicle. The frequency of 
Map upgrade releases is every 6 months and these 
upgrades will be notified on the NaviMaps mobile 
app.

9. Can my family members also can use this TBT 

Navigation feature by downloading the same 
NaviMaps App? Do they have to pay?

Yes. However every other user shall also download 
and install the apps. Maximum of 4 distinct users per 
TATA vehicle are allowed. These 4 distinct users need 
not pay additionally. If users are more than 4 then user 
shall purchase pro-guidance version (in app purchase)

10. Should I enable GPS always in my smartphone?

Yes. You should enable GPS in your smartphone when 
it is connected with your infotainment system for the 
Navigation function.

11. What should I do if GPS signal is not available?

This TBT Navigation feature uses GPS from your 
smartphone. So your smartphone GPS reception is 
very important for reliable functionality of this feature.
