2. Enter the name of the family member you want to add in
the ‘Add new family member’ text field and then click SAVE
CHANGES.
3. After the screen reloads, you can click the icon beside the
family member to change its colour. You can also edit the
family member’s name or enter an email address. Click
SAVE CHANGES when you’re done.
You can add up to 15 family members. Each family member has a
coloured, ‘person’ icon, which is used to identify them in various
reports. You can give family members an email address – if you
want them to receive emails telling them when they’ve exceeded
75% of their allocation (refer also to
Choosing which emails to send
on page 44).
The family member named ‘Unknown’ is special. This family
member is created automatically, cannot be renamed, and is the
family member to which new computers are automatically
assigned until you re-assign them to someone.
As with the ‘Unknown’ family member, not all family members in
ParentBox need correspond to real people. You may wish to
create other ‘unreal’ family members such as ‘Shared’ for the
Internet-enabled TV, or ‘No access’ for specific devices that you
don’t want using the Internet at all.
Once you’ve added a new family member you cannot delete
them, although you can rename them at any time.
