: If the printhead mechanism latches, a clicking noise will sound. If the
printhead mechanism is latched by mistake, push up the black printhead
latches to release the printhead mechanism as shown in Figure 2-24.

Next, install the ribbon take up roll. Examine the ends of the ribbon take up core
and notice the notches on the ribbon core. These notches fit into the printer. Refer to
Figure 2-32 for clear pictures of the notches. Lift the ribbon take up roll as shown in
the figures below.
