A

V32R’s software

1. Disconnect 

the mains leads from all units in your system. 

Do not forget your power amplifiers

2. Connect

the universal TAGtronic Programming Cable into the 

TAGtronic Bus

sockets,

located at the rea panel of the AV32R ‘Dual Processor’ (red > in, black > out)

3. Connect

the D-sub connector of the programming cable to the COM1 serial 

interface of your PC

4. Run

the TAGtronic Upgrade Wizard from Microsoft Windows by selecting 

Start > Programs > TAGMcLaren Audio > Upgrade Wizard

the upgrade process: step-by-step

Wait

another 6 minutes until the upgrade is really finished: clearly visible by the

Upgrade Wizard declaring ‘victory’ and the AV32R ‘Dual Processor’ switching on,
showing for a few seconds the version number of the software loaded.

7. Remove

the programming cable from the AV32R ‘Dual Processor’, power it down 

using the front panel power button, wait about 10 seconds and the switch it on again.
This will reset the AV32R ‘Dual Processor’. 

8. Leaving

the power amplifiers until last, reconnect and switch on all components.

Problems?

In case you experience a problem, just try the above sequence again. Should the problem
persist, please send an e-mail to 

[email protected]

for further assistance.

Follow exactly the instructions shown on screen. The
Upgrade Wizard will describe how to connect the
universal programming cable to the rear panel
connector.
Under no circumstances should you power up your AV32R
‘Dual Processor’ before being asked by the Upgrade
Wizard or the upgrade will fail!

5. When

asked by the Upgrade Wizard, power up your AV32R ‘Dual Processor’ - the

AV32R ‘Dual Processor’ will not respond as usual; the front display and all LEDs will 
stay off - the AV32R ‘Dual Processor’ will look like broken. This is as expected, the AV32R
‘Dual Processor’ waits for a new program to be loaded.

6. Continue

to follow exactly the instructions of the Upgrade Wizard! 

After 3 minutes the AV32R ‘Dual Processor’ will switch on its blue LED and its display 
on - a few seconds later the display will show
