ENGINE/DRIVE TRAIN
The engine should be checked for proper lubrication levels before first use according to the
engine manufacturer's Owner's Manual.
Fill fuel tank with regular unleaded gasoline.
CAUTION!
Do not expose gasoline to sparks or open flames. Do not smoke when filing gasoline tank on
engine. Explosion or fire may result.
Remove the side shield and check v-belt for proper tension. When pressed in the center of the
belt, there should be ½ to 1" of travel. If the belt needs to be tightened, turn the adjusting nut on
the tensioning spring to add more tension. Repeat the procedure if necessary. After the tension
is adjusted correctly, reinstall the safety shield, making sure that the electrical wires are
positioned in a way as to not get damaged by the shield.
