KEY TERMS

Configure: 

To set up a program or computer system for a particular application.

FAAST Fire Alarm Aspirating Sensing Technology®: 

High sensitivity aspirating smoke detection system.

IP Address: 

An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a numerical label that is assigned to de-
vices participating in a computer network utilizing the Internet Protocol for 
communication between its nodes. 

PipeIQ®:

A software program designed to work with the FAAST unit for system configu-
ration, monitoring and pipe design.

Web server: 

A Web server is a computer program that delivers (serves) content. The device 
contains an integrated Web server which is used to observe detector configu-
ration and may be used to remotely monitor the system.
