Annual Inspection of the SEGO Seating System
Synetik ErgoCare recommends that the SEGO Seating System be subject to a detailed inspection once a year
and whenever the product is to be repurposed or refurbished for reuse. This inspection must be carried out by
a person with the appropriate technical skills and trained in the use of the product. In order to carry out the
annual inspection of the SEGO Seating System, you will need to:

Check that all knobs, handles, nuts and bolts are in place.
• Replace any missing parts.
• Check that the height adjustment mechanism on the Hi/Low Base is working properly. Without pressing
on the foot pedal, ensure that the height does not vary by pushing down on the seat. Make sure the foot
pedal safety lock is activated and undamaged.
• Check that the seat angle adjustment mechanism is working properly. Without activating the lever, make
sure that the angle does not vary by pushing on the seat.
• Check that the backrest angle adjustment mechanism is working properly.
• Check that the junction points between the seat and the base do not show any signs of wear on the metal
parts.
• Check that the structure of the product shows no cracks or signs of wear, paying particular attention to
welded areas.
• Lift the base to check each wheel individually. Ensure that they turn freely and remove any dirt. Check that
the brakes lock the wheels securely into place.
• Keep a record of all annual product inspections
