g) “Network” function
This function enables to make network settings for the monitor/DVR in order to enable the use of the optional “iHome-
Cam” app. You can download this app from Google Play Store or Apple™ Store. This function enables the display of
the monitor/DVR image on a smartphone.
You can use the option of automatic assignment of the network address (IP address) or set a fixed IP address. Use
the appropriate setting that fits to your network configuration.
If you have any doubts about which option to use, choose automatic assignment; the monitor/DVR will then
get the IP address from your router. This is the common option for home networks.
Proceed as follows:
• Briefly press the “MENU” button (3, 31) on the monitor/DVR or the IR remote control to display the main menu.
•
Use the “ ” or “ ” button to select the “System settings” submenu and briefly press the “ ” button (6, 34).
• Use the “ ” or “ ” button to select the “Network” function and then briefly press the “ ” button (6, 34).
• Use the “ ” or “ ” button to switch between “Static IP” and “Dynamic IP”.
• Dynamic IP
- If you choose the “Dynamic IP” setting, your router will automatically assign a free network address (IP address)
to the monitor/DVR. You do not need to do anything.
- Confirm the setting by briefly pressing the “ ” button (6, 34).
• Static IP
- If you choose the “Static IP” setting, you should assign your own fixed network address consisting of an IP
address, subnet mask and gateway.
- Use the “ ” or “ ” button to select the “Static IP” function.
- You can switch between “Network address”, “Subnet mask” and “Gateway” and “OK” using the “ ” or “ ”
button.
- Confirm the selection by briefly pressing the “ ” button (6, 34).
- Use the “ ” or “ ” button to select the number that you want to change.
- To change the number, use the “ ” or “ ” button.

Select “OK”, briefly press the “ ” button (6, 34) to confirm the entry and exit the selection.
• To go back one menu level or to exit the OSD menu, briefly press the “MENU” button (3, 31) on the monitor/DVR or
the IR remote control (multiple button pressed may be needed).
After making the settings, restart the monitor/DVR (if necessary, disconnect the monitor/DVR from the volt-
age/power supply for a few seconds). Then check the settings under “Network Info” as described in section
14. c).
