Faults and Self-help with
Troubleshooting
Not every fault is due to a defective
phone. In certain circumstances, it can
come from a brief interruption in the
power supply to the base station (unplug/
plug in power supply) or if the batteries of
the handset are removed and inserted
again. The following instructions should
be of help for specific faults.

Problems or faults can only be
remedied if you bring the complete unit
(base station, handset, as well as connect-
ing cable) to the place of purchase.
Registration or connection problems with a
Bluetooth headset.

The standard A2DP (Advanced Audio
Distribution Profile) is not supported.
¥
Reset the Bluetooth headset (see the user
guide for your headset).
¥
Delete registration data from the handset
when deregistering the device
¥
Repeat the registration process
The display is blank.
1. The handset is not turned on.

Press

2. The battery is flat.

Charge or replace the batteries (page 6).
The keys of a handset do not respond when
pressed.

Handset does not ring.
The ringer tone is deactivated.

Activate the ringer tone (page 22).
The other party cannot hear you.
You have pressed the

(INT) key. The hand-
set is "muted".

Switch on the microphone again (page 13).
You hear an error tone when keying an
input
(a descending tone sequence).
Action has failed/invalid input.

Repeat the operation.
