Mineral wool
Ductwork in a cold space.
Insulation: 100 mm rock wool or equivalent.
Outdoor flue and exhaust flue going out
in a warm space. Insulation: 50 mm rock wool.
Tightly taped plastic on top as a vapour barrier.
Warm supply and extract air ducts
in interior spaces do not need heat
insulation.
Duct insulation
The horizontal part of the outdoor flue must not be mounted in the roof insulation,
because any air leak in the vapour barrier penetration of the flue would make
water condensate on the surface of the cold flue.
The outdoor flue must be heat insulated with at least 100 cm rock wool in
order to ensure that any overheat in the attic during summer will not heat
outdoor air coming to the unit.
Mounting of ILTO exchanger

IMPORTANT
The grid must have a sufficient
free-flow opening. Speed in the
grid less than 2.3 m/s.
ILTO
VENTILATION UNIT
Outdoor air inside with e.g.
Ø 200 grid without a mesh.
Not from the street or close
to the garage.
Condensation water
can be led to floor
drain or to a sink
outlet. Not directly to
the drain.
Use valves or grids
designed for mechanical
ventilation and with low
sound production.
ILTO Roof EXTRACTOR
Mounted beside the crest or on
the upper third of the slope.
Note! - small pressure loss
- upblast
