Before Use

Prior to using the machine for the first time remove all packaging
materials inside the machine.

Water Hardness and Refined Salt usage

Hard water can lead to poor washing performance and the build up of
limescale which overtime will not only decrease the cleaning effectiveness but
can lead to the appliance being damaged. This appliance has a built-in water
softener, which requires the addition of refined salt and water to operate.

Setting the water hardness

We recommend you contact your local water supplier for information about
the hardness of water in your area.

The appliance can be adapted to suit the type of water from your supply by:-

1. With the door ajar, hold down the Program selection button (see page

16) and turn on the appliance by pressing the on/off button.

2. Keep the program selection button pressed down until the P indicator

LEDs stop flashing. Release the Program selection button.

3.

The P3 and P5 LED’s will light (factory setting indicating water
hardness level 3)*

4. Press the Program selection button repeatedly until the Hardness level

indicator (see below table) matches the water hardness level in your
area.

5. Press the On/off button to save the settings.

*The LED’s will correspond with the last saved setting, therefore if the item has been
previously used an alternative water hardness may have been set.
