ETTINGS
The
General Settings
screen allows you to
programme general measurement parameters:
delay of the measurement start (
Start Delay
),
synchronisation with the instrument’s RTC
(
Start Sync.
), integration period/measurement
run time (
Integration Period
), repetition of
measurement
cycles
(
Repetition Cycles
),
RMS detector type (
RMS Integration
), day time
hours (
Day Time Limits
) and time window for
the
LRm
results (
Rolling Time
).
Delay of measurement start
The
Start Delay
parameter defines the delay period from the
<Start>
keystroke
to the real start of the measurement (digital filters of the instrument constantly
analyses the input signal even when the measurement is stopped). This delay
period can be set from
0 second
to
60 seconds
. Default value:
1s
.
Synchronisation of measurement cycles
The
Start Sync.
parameter defines synchronisation points with the instrument’s
RTC and can be set as:
Off
,
1m
,
15m
,
30m
and
1h
. For example, if
1h
is
selected, the measurement will start from the beginning of the first second of
next hour after the
<Start>
keystroke, and then will be repeated also from the
first second of the following hour after elapsing the integration period if the
number of cycles is greater than one. Default value:
Off
.
Infinite integration period
The
Integr. Period Inf
parameter activates the infinite integration period. In this
case the additional
Split Cycles
parameter appears which define the maximum
number of splits of the data registration in separate files
– see Chapter
If the
Split
parameter (
path: <Menu> / Measurement / Logging / Logger Setup
)
if
Off
, the signal will be averaged all the time until the
<Stop>
keystroke.
If the
Split
parameter not
Off
, the signal will be averaged from the measurement
start till the split. After the split new measurement will start with averaging until
the next split. Such measurements will be performed as many times as is set by
the
Split Cycles
parameter.
If the
Integr. Period Inf
parameter is disabled, then two positions (
Integration Period
and
Repetition Cycles
)
become active.
Integration period
The
Integr. Period
parameter defines a
period during which the signal is being
measured
(and
for
some
results
averaged/integrated) and a step with which
measured results are logged in the logger
file as
Summary Results
(see description
of the
Logger Setup
). The integration
period can be set in the special screen,
which is opened with the
◄ / ► key.
