SVAN 977C User Manual

You can switch on or off consideration of the
ambient noise for the next measurements in
the

Enable

position.

►

Note: The table with ambient noise distortions can be updated also from the Measurement point
screen before the first measurement

– see next Chapter.

13.4.6 STIPA measurements

When

STIPA Settings

are made, you can start measurements.

1. To start measurement, just press the

<Start>

key being in any screen.

Screen with the measurement progress bar and STI index calculated with
considered ambient noise, measured STI index, STI qualification band,
LAeq and LAS results will appear.

The measurement lasts 15 seconds during which the displayed results
are updated every 1 second.

Note: Ambient noise distortions will be considered in accordance with the values set in the
Ambient noise table

– see Chapter

Note: Pressing the <Stop> key during the measurement will break it without recording the
measurement results.

2. After measurement stop the

Measurement point

screen appears.

This screen presents for the measurement point (in the presented case

coefficients  for  seven  octave  bands

soft-key.

delete

the

selected

measurement pressing the

<Delete>

soft-key.

You  can  exclude/include  the  selected
measurement  from  the  averaging  by
pressing  the

◄/► key together with

<Alt>

.
