2B-9 Front Suspension: 

Installation

1) Apply thread lock to the suspension arm pivot bolts 

(lower).

:  Thread lock cement 99000–32030 

(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1303 or 
equivalent)

2) Temporarily tighten the suspension arm pivot nuts 

(lower) (1).

3) Install the steering knuckle (2) and suspension upper 

arm (3).

4) Apply thread lock to the suspension arm pivot bolts 

(upper).

:  Thread lock cement 99000–32030 

(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1303 or 
equivalent)

5) Temporarily tighten the suspension arm pivot nut 

(upper) (4) and front shock absorber mounting nut 
(lower) (5).

6) Tighten the steering knuckle end nut and tie-rod end 

nut. Refer to “Front Wheel Hub / Steering Knuckle 
Removal and Installation (Page 2B-3)”.

7) Tighten each nut to the specified torque.

Tightening torque
Suspension arm pivot nut (upper) (a):  65 N·m (
6.5 kgf-m, 47.0 lb-ft)
Suspension arm pivot nut (lower) (b):  65 N·m (
6.5 kgf-m, 47.0 lb-ft)
Front shock absorber mounting nut (lower) (c):  
60 N·m (6.0 kgf-m, 43.5 lb-ft)

8) Install the brake hose Clamp. Refer to “Front Brake 

Hose Removal and Installation in Section 4A 
(Page 4A-7)”.

Front Suspension Arm Related Parts Inspection

and Installation (Page 2B-8)”.

Steering Knuckle End

Inspect the steering knuckle end for wear or damage. If 
any defects are found, replace the knuckle end with a 
new one.
Inspect the steering knuckle end for smooth movement. 
If there are any abnormalities, replace the knuckle end 
with a new one. Refer to “Steering Knuckle End Removal 
and Installation (Page 2B-10)”
