2) Measure the crankshaft journal O.D. with the special
tool.
Special tool
(A): 09900–20203 (Micrometer (1/100 mm,
50 – 75 mm))
Crankshaft journal O.D.
Standard: 54.985 – 55.000 mm (2.1648 – 2.1654
in)
3) If each crankshaft journal O.D. is not within the
standard range, replace the crankshaft with a new
one.
4) Measure the crankshaft journal bearing I.D. with the
special tool.
Special tool
(B): 09900–20530 (Cylinder gauge set)
NOTE
Check the each crankcase journal I.D. code
mark “A”.
Crankshaft journal oil clearance
Standard: 0.002 – 0.029 mm (0.00008 – 0.00114 in)
5) If each crankshaft journal oil clearance is not within
the standard range, replace crankshaft journal
bearings with new ones.
CAUTION
!
Bearing must be replaced as a seat.
Selection
Select the specified bearings from the crankcase bore
I.D. code.

Use the special tool to replace the crankshaft journal
bearings. The replacement procedure is as follows:

(A): 09913–60250 (Journal bearing remover/
installer)
• Set the special tool as shown to remove the
crankshaft journal bearings.
NOTE
Remove the crankshaft journal bearings in
only one direction, from inside to outside of
each crankcase half.
