THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR POSITIONING

Install the throttle position sensor as described below.
• Measure the resistance 

 between the throttle position sen-

sor terminals as shown in the illustration.

• Measure the resistance 

 between the throttle position sen-

sor terminals as shown in the illustration.

• Fully open the throttle valve with the throttle lever.
• Position the throttle position sensor until resistance         is

 is within specification, tighten the

throttle position sensor mounting screws.

Minor adjustment can be made by the throttle grip side adjuster.

• Remove the fuel tank. (

• Loosen  the lock nut

 of the throttle returning cable.

• Turn the returning cable adjuster

 to obtain proper cable play.

• Loosen the lock nut

 of the throttle pulling cable.

• Turn the pulling cable adjuster

 in or out until the throttle cable

play 

of 2.0 – 4.0 mm at the throttle grip is obtained.

• Tighten the lock nut

 securely while holding the adjuster

• While holding the throttle grip at the fully closed position, slowly

turn the returning cable adjuster

 to obtain a cable slack

of 1.0 mm.

• Tighten the lock nut
