Tire pressure should only be
checked
a nd a djusted before
riding, since riding will he a t up the
tires a nd le a d to higher infl a tion
pressure re a dings.
Under-infl a ted tires m a ke smooth
cornering difficult, a nd c a n result
in r a pid tire we a r. Over-infl a ted
tires c a use a sm a ller a mount of
tire to be in cont a ct with the ro a d,
which c a n contribute to skidding
a nd loss of control.
NOTE: When you detect drops in
tire pressure, check the tire for
nails or other punctures, or a
damaged wheel rim. Tubeless
tires sometimes lose pressure
gradually when punctured.
