FI SYSTEM 5-61

Step 1 (When indicating P1654-L:)

1) Remove the fuel tank. (



2) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3) Check the STP sensor coupler for loose or poor contacts.

If OK, then check the STP sensor lead wire continuity.

4) Disconnect the TO sensor coupler.
5) Check the continuity between Y/W wire

and ground.

6) Also, check the continuity between Y/W wire

and B/Br wire

. If the sound is not heard from the tester, the circuit condi-

tion is OK.

7) Remove the right frame cover. (



8) Remove the ECM bracket (



5-38) and disconnect the

ECM coupler.

9) Check the continuity between Y/W wire

and terminal

10)Also, check the continuity between Red wire

and terminal


